The University of Craiova, in partnership with Adana Alparslan Türkeş University of Science and Technology, Paisiy Hilendarski University of Plovdiv and Matej Bel University, Banská Bystrica, is launching the Erasmus+ project “Applying some advanced technologies in teaching and research, in relation to air pollution”.
The project implementation period is February 01, 2022 - January 31, 2024 and the maximum budget is 254,056.00 euro. The target group of this project will have 40 students and 10 academic staff.
The project “Applying some advanced technologies in teaching and research, in relation to air pollution” aims to develop STEM students' and academic staff's competences in using advanced technologies in processing the information provided by Big Data (open source). This project will facilitate an exchange of experience and good practices to the faculty regarding new methods of teaching and learning that will be used during post-pandemic period.
Project activities are organized in 8 work packages:
WP1 Project preparation WP2 Information, promotion and dissemination of the project activities at each partner university WP3 Target group's recruitment, selection and involvement in the project activities WP4 Training for academic staff in: 1. innovative teaching and learning methods for the post-pandemic time, 2. Artificial Intelligence and statistics, 3. Machine Learning and Big Data WP5 Intensive training for students/summer school (students from the target group) WP6 Writing the content of a scientific paper about advanced technologies in working with Big Data WP7 Multiplier events preparation WP8 Project management.
Project results:
1.a curriculum for an optional course in Advanced technologies used in processing data and a handbook;
2. an innovative tool kit of sensors for students;
3. a scientific paper that has used the data given by an open BD, using advanced technologies, presented to an international conference;
4. a book about innovative methods of teaching and learning usefull for the postpandemic time.
